LumaCare Mental Helse operates as a private psychiatric clinic and does not hold a public reimbursement agreement or operating grant. Consequently, all consultation fees must be covered in full by the patient.

Health Insurance: If you hold private health insurance through a provider such as Storebrand, Tryg, If, Gjensidige, or SpareBank 1, we highly recommend verifying your policy terms with your insurer in advance to determine if and how your coverage can be utilized at our clinic.

Payment Guarantees: If your treatment is funded via a written payment guarantee from NAV, Child Welfare Services (Barnevernet), or other public authorities, this documentation must be submitted, reviewed, and formally approved by us prior to the commencement of care.

Important Policy Regarding Secondary Costs: Please be advised that the clinic does not provide reimbursement for travel expenses or any other associated secondary costs if an appointment cannot be conducted, regardless of the underlying reason.

Current Rates (Effective May 2026): The following rates apply equally to daytime and evening appointments. Identical pricing structures apply to individual, couples, and family therapy.

Following your initial consultation, we will evaluate your clinical pathway and determine the necessary frequency of follow-up care. Patients who attend at least two consultations within a single calendar month qualify for this discounted rate.

Price adjustment: Prices are adjusted annually in May according to changes in the National Insurance base amount (G).

Payment and Cancellation Policies

Payment Terms: Payment is settled on the day of treatment via a secure digital payment link issued through MediPay or Payex. If the balance is not settled within 48 hours, an invoice will be generated and issued. Prompt payment is encouraged to avoid potential debt collection fees.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment via SMS or email up to two business days (48 hours) prior to your scheduled time. Appointments that are not cancelled at least two business days in advance will be billed in full, regardless of the underlying reason for non-attendance.
